Epsom and Ewell Harrier’s ladies' team remain unbeaten this season.
Securing another great team victory last Saturday in the British Athletic League Cup semi final, bringing their total to four consecutive victories.
Their success was highlighted by confident runs by Jessie Knight in the 200m (25.7), Emily Alden in the 1500m (4.47.32), Emily Parker in the 400m hurdles (60.93) and Julia Machin in the high jump (1.80).
A win and a club record in the relay a great finish to a fantastic day for the women. The ladies success must be largely attributed to the fact that they fielded a full team ensuring they picked up points wherever possible.
The men’s team also put in a good performance finishing fourth with brave runs from Alex Jackson in the 800m (2nd in 1.57.2), Stefan Richards in the 400m (3rd in 51.52), and Will Clarke in the 1500m (3rd in 4.10.64).
Ayrton Richards achieved a personal best in the high Jump, jumping 1.80m, and Tim Liversage scored season’s bests with 28.71 in the discus, Carlos Neuenschwander in the long jump with 5.66 and James Beasley in the 200m with 26.48 Epsom’s success is remarkable as the majority of the men and women’s team consisted of athletes running above their age groups alongside senior athletes.
Jacob Paul put in a great performance in the 400m hurdles (58.91) at the age of 14. This can only bode well for the future.
