Budding golfers were treated to a masterclass from England's top professional Lee Westwood on Wednesday when he dropped into his Academy running at Addington Court Golf Course.
The three-day course was one of a number being run by the Lee Westwood Golf Academy around the country and the 50 participants were shown a variety of shots by the 36-year-old, who came third in the British Open last weekend.
"It was good, the kids seemed to really enjoy it," said the 18-time European Tour winner.
"Anything that gets the kids involved and gives them opportunities to get coaching is good.
"When I was growing up I had the assistance of the golf foundation and people like that who I still work with today.
"There's a lot of people interested and I think it will probably carry on, there's been a good response to it."
Westwood finished just one shot behind eventual winner Stewart Cink, who beat veteran Tom Watson in a play-off, at Turnberry on Sunday but insists he will use the experience to try and win the US PGA Championship next month.
"I'm obviously disappointed not to have won but I have to carry on and try to learn from it," he said.
"There are thoughts of what if I had hit this there and what if I had made that put but that's a natural reaction.
"You just have to not turn a positive experience like that into a negative one.
"They way I have been played just recently I have got try and keep playing like that for the rest of the year.
"I've got another major coming up in three weeks so there is no point getting on a downer and jeopardising the way I am going to play for the rest of the year just because of the Open.
"I've got two weeks off then I'm playing in Ohio in the World Golf Championship then the following week it's the PGA at Hazeltine.
"After last week I want to win those tournaments.
"The golf I have been playing has been pretty good and solid.
"I've hit some good scores on some tough golf courses.
"I came second at the World Gold Championships last year so I would like to be in contention there, then at that last major of the year coming off such a good result at the Open I have to try to maybe go a little bit better and role last week into a positive and carry some good form into that."
