Epsom Ladies beat Reigate Priory at the Francis Schnadhorst Memorial Ground on Sunday to secure a place in the Surrey Trust T20 League final in their inaugural season in the competition.
They top Group B in the league with an unbeaten record.
Under a threatening sky the visitors won the toss and put Epsom into bat. Susie and Claire scored 10 from 2 overs before Claire was trapped LBW for 2.
Karen and Susie built a partnership with Susie working the ball on the leg-side for twos and singles while Karen stroked the ball to the boundary. Susie retired on 20 and Karen was bowled on 24 with 5 overs to go and the total at 79.
Natalia took control of the remaining overs hitting 6 boundaries, leaving Reigate a target of 126.
Epsom continued in confidently with the ball, bowling the Reigate opener Kerry for a duck in the first over.
Camilla shifted control back to Reigate as she carved the ball all around the ground accumulating 8 fours and 2 huge sixes.
With 10 overs gone Reigate had raced to 75 with a 50 for Camilla. The ball was tossed once again to Susie. She struck immediately taking 2 wickets including the crucial scalp of Camilla.
She then ripped through the Reigate middle order finishing with figures of 4-0 – 19-6.
Charlie and Lucy steadied the Reigate ship keeping the total ticking over. Rachael prepared to bowl the last over with the visitors needing 7.
Reigate nicked singles and with 2 balls to go and 4 runs needed Rachael clean bowled Charlie, Gill ran herself out on the final ball and Epsom had their famous victory.
