Donna Fraser will not be granted a final fling on the big stage after being left out of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland squad for next month's World Championships.
The Croydon Harrier, who retires at the end of August, had hoped to be included in the 4x400m relay squad but selectors have gone for youth over experience.
The 36-year-old will now race for the final time at the Gateshead Grand Prix on August 31.
Elsewhere, Steph Twell is given the nod over Hannah England in the women's 1500m despite a disappointing sixth place at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Martyn Rooney is named in the men's 400m while Harry Aikines-Aryeetey misses out on the men's 100m individual but is included in the relay.
Twickenham-based Mo Farah will race the 5000m while Andy Turner will compete the 110m hurdles.
Samson Oni missed out in the high jump.
