Barnes continued their return to form with a seven-wicket victory at Wembley that has clawed them back to fifth position and within grasp of a the second-place promotion slot.
Wembley struggled with the excellent line and movement of Ed Craig and the returning Guy Rowley who destroyed the top order. Craig’s 4-15 from 16 overs was a perfect example of control and Rowley (4-25) snuffed out any hopes of a middle order recovery by taking three wickets in an over as the home team slumped to 130.
The target proved comfortable for Barnes with Geoff Warrington hitting an unbeaten 36 and Rowley completing an excellent all-round performance with 36 not out.
Barnes travel to league leaders Hornsey on Saturday with six games left in the Middlesex League Div 3 campaign.
