The Canoe the Thames challenge is heading to Hampton Court and Teddington Lock as a team of 18 navigate the river while sailing in origami canoes.
Organised by canoeing enthusiast Tim Simpson, the challenge features canoes made of 100 per cent recycleable corrug- ated plastic, with each canoeist raising money for a different charity.
Beginning on Sunday, the journey will take in Oxford and Wallingford, tackle the Henley Regatta course, pass the royal castle at Windsor, Magna Carter Island at Runnymede, Henry VIII’s palace at Hampton Court, and then finish at Teddington Lock on Sunday, August 16.
