Sutton Cricket Club are celebrating a season of triumph in which both their first and second XIs claimed their respective ECB Surrey Premiership titles, writes Mike Woods.
It is a remarkable achievement in Phil Sampson’s debut season as captain considering the first team came close to relegation last season.
They could even afford defeat by Reigate Priory on the final day, a match week a few weeks earlier had looked destined to be the title decider.
