Burgh Heath Cricket Club have celebrated a return to league action after more than a decade break by winning the AJ Sports League Division Three title.
They added to last month’s Twenty20 Cup victory thanks to a seven-wicket win at Bec Old Boys in their final match.
Put in to bat by Heath skipper Dan Masini, Bec were all out for 133 with Anas Rasheed and Umar Khan taking three wickets apiece. Mark Laxton and Majeed Khan claimed the remainder.
In reply, Chris Smith’s unbeaten 56 and Asim Khalil’s 48 led Heath to victory.
