Twickenham Ladies claimed a 75-run win over Orpington Nomads in their final league clash last Sunday.
Having lost the toss Twickenham were put into bat and soon found themselves 2 wickets down.
Charlotte Gallagher and Kat Dickens soon redeemed the situation with a fine partnership of 71 which took Twickenham back into the game.
Gallagher went onto make an impressive 86 which included 13 four's, this along with Dickens's 34, Janet Greenhead 22no and Marina Steel's 15 saw the home side in a very commanding position at the end of their 45 overs with 211 for 7 on the board.
In reply Orpington Nomads made a good start with openers Caroline Barrs and Carol Brown-Kenyon scoring a quick 34.
There were other good partnership along the way but not significant enough to bring them anywhere near to closing in on Twickenham's 211.
With Greenhead taking 3 for 33 and the other Twickenham 5 bowlers all taking one wicket each, saw Orpington all out in the 35th over for 136, 75 runs short of the target.
The win should see Twickenham finish mid table in their first year in Division One of the Southern League. This along with being winners of the Middlesex 6's cup and finalists in the Super 8's competition has meant an excellent season for the ladies team at Twickenham CC.
