Epsom College girls’ first XI hockey team continued their unbeaten run on Saturday with a 6-2 win over Brighton College.

Although they conceded their first goals of the season, a hat-trick from Emma Albon and further goals from Natalie Scriver, Tash Nichols and Katy Everett secured a convincing victory.

Vicki Gavins impressed on her first XI debut after stepping up to cover for injuries.

Epsom College sides won seven of their nine games against Brighton, with one draw and a narrow defeat.

The U16A side won 4-0 at City of London Freemen’s School, while the third XI won 1-0 at King Edward’s School, Witley.

Meanwhile, the college’s first XV rugby side turned up the heat on Cranleigh in sultry conditions on Saturday to record their second victory of the season, emerging as 18-3 winners.

Tries from Kyle Sinckler and Henry Cheetham and a conversion and two penalties from Jamie Falconer secured the win.
