The sun shone on the Sutton Guardian Open Tournament at Downs Lawn Tennis Club in Cheam on Sunday.
Sixteen pairs from competed for the Trophy with those knocked out in the preliminary rounds going on to compete for the plate.
Carol Lane and Tony Glading from Banstead Downs won the main trophy after a closely-fought match against the host club’s Aku Patel and Chris Donaldson.
The plate final was a real family affair, with Purley’s Peter and Pat Walsh coming out on top against Downs’ Lesley and Jeremy Cuff.
Downs LTC, based in Holland Avenue, is offering half priced membership from November 1.
