Cobham Lacrosse is going from strength to strength having been awarded a youth opportunity funding grant from Elmbridge Impact.
The grant will fund community coach Lindsey McDonald, who will deliver free sessions in state schools and colleges in the area.
There has been a boom in interest in the sport since Cobham Sports Association hosted the England versus Australia international match in the summer, and Cobham Lacrosse recently launched three programmes aimed at getting youngsters involved in the sport.
Rydens School pupil Nicky Williams has just been selected for Surrey after impressing in one of the organisation’s trial days.
