Lady Eleanor Holles School pupil Freya Petty has been selected for the Great Britain U17 women's fencing team to go to Heidenheim, Germany, in November, and Grenoble, France, in December.
Last year, just aged 14, Freya was selected for the GB U17 women's epee squad and was selected for trips to Germany, France and Sweden, but an injury this year kept her out of competitive events for eight months.
The year 11 pupil returned to international competition in October in Portugal with the U17s team that fenced in an U20 A grade event, where she came 21st, and is now looking forward to gaining further experience of international competition.
