Collingwood’s Allan Rumbles completed Sunday’s Cornish Marathon in an impressive three hours 30 minutes 50 seconds.
Rumbles, taking part in his 95th marathon, encountered poor weather on his way to the event, but things improved and he ran the hilly event under blue skies and sunshine.
In Saturday’s Banstead Woods 5km parkrun, Collingwood’s Shaun Cooney was second (19:52), with Steve Cooney third (20:02). Andy Stalley was 10th (22:09) and Gill Stalley 43rd (31:21).
Roundshaw Downs 5km parkrun:16 Annette Helliwell (L50) 28:02, 25 Dominic Fox (aged seven) 33:32, 26 Richard Fox (M40) 33:36.
