Claygate teenager Ollie Millroy continued to impress in Formula Renault UK after a successful testing session at Brands Hatch and Snetterton for top teams Manor Competition, CRS and Fortec.
Millroy, 19, produced some quick times in front of Manor boss Tony Shaw.
“I’m testing with some of the front-running teams to see who I work best with,” said Millroy.
“We’re looking at Formula Renault because I would really like to come back to the UK and race for a while, having been away in Europe for a few years with Formula BMW and international karting.
“There’s a completely new-generation chassis next year and this really appeals to me because the car looks great and it will create a level playing field. I would be entering the championship with one aim and that’s to win it so it would be particularly important that I was with a team who can help me do this.
“It’s likely I’ll be doing more testing both here and in Europe over the winter until we decide what I’m doing and who I’m doing it with. I’m getting a lot of interest from teams in Europe and America, which we are looking at but I would be more than happy doing FRenault UK if we can secure the right deal.”
