Victor Maughn of Herne Hill Harriers claimed victory in the Roundshaw Downs parkrun on his maiden appearance on Saturday morning, writes Nicola Stevenson.
He clocked 17minutes, 55 seconds to win from South London Harriers' David Baker (18:35) and Alex Penfold of Sutton & District AC (18:58).
In the women's race, Baker's clubmate Emer Kerr made it three wins from three outings with a time of (22:02). South London Harriers' Francesca Parris (22:42) was second, with Rhian Christina Davies of Sutton & District third (25:31).
In today's Age Graded competition, Victor MAUGHN recorded a performance of 80.37 per cent.
In the points competition Peter WALSH has a lead of 91 points over second placed Simon DONAGHY. Abbie BURRETT leads Jeannette RYAN by 196 in the women's competition.
This week there were 12 first timers.
Ten runners recorded PBs, bringing the total number since the Roundshaw Downs started to 328.
In this time, 409 runners from 40 different clubs have completed the race 1,120 times covering a distance of 5,600km.
The male course record is held by Jason SIMPSON who ran 16:20 on 07/11/09, event #17.
The female equivalent is held by Beckie WOODLAND who ran 19:40 on 18/07/09, event #1.
