As part of the Play Sport London winter programme, Richmond Volleyball has announced a New Year treat for all ages.
RV is offering you three FREE exciting volleyball events, which will kick off in January, February and March 2010, helping you stay active. Make sure you have these fun activities in your diaries:
Sitting Volleyball 4 All (2 free sessions) - An all inclusive programme offering coaching and tournaments. Held at Richmond College on Monday evenings (1st Feb and 8th March 2010) from 7pm to 10pm. It’s not for people lounging about.
Come & Try and Play More Volleyball (4 free sessions) - A flexible and friendly coaching programme open to male and female participants.
Held at Tiffin Boys Sports Centre (Kingston), on Thursday evenings (14th, 21st, 28th January and 4th February 2010 ) from 7pm to 10pm.
Since the successful launch of the South London Volleyball League in 2008-09 the league has now grown to 300 people at two central venues in Richmond (Richmond College) and Kingston (Tiffin Boys School).
Play More Volleyball for Young People (3 free sessions) - A flexible coaching programme with matches for boys and girls aged between u16 to u19. Held at Tiffin Boys Sports Centre (Kingston) on Thursday evenings (7th January, 18th February, 18th March 2010) from 7pm to 10pm.
This is the first time Richmond Volleyball has been able to offer young people more opportunities to play volleyball and help create a positive social environment.
The pathway for these young people is to join Richmond Junior Development Centre (Saturday’s 10am at Tiffin Boys School) and/or create a team and participate in the South London Volleyball League.
Richmond Volleyball junior section has grown over the last 2 years from 10 to 70 players.
