Serpentine's Eoin O'Connell made it eight wins in nine appearances when he headed home the field in the Wimbledon Common parkrun in 17:31 beating Herne Hill's Basil Wallace (17:35) and Hercules Wimbledon veteran Stuart Fraser (17:37) who posted the top age-graded performance of the event.

O'Connell completed a hat-trick of wins with his victory.

Unattached runner Sophie McKay made it two wins in 37 appearances to take the women's race in 23:21 snatching victory by just two seconds from Hercules Wimbledon's 14-year-old Rebecca Stone.

* Belgrave international Richard Ward also completed a hat-trick of wins when he took the Banstead Woods parkrun for the 19th time in 22 appearances on Saturday. However, his time of 17:14 was one of his slowest for the course and well outside his best of 15:55 achieved in January 2008.

He has only run slower on two occasions.

However, he was a comfortable enough winner finishing well clear of South London's over 45 veteran Chris Phelan (18:03), who posted the top age-graded performance, with Sutton Runners' Steve Barner third in 18:47.

* Having won the Wimbledon Common parkrun six times, Herne Hill's Vic Maughn made a winning debut in the Roundshaw Downs event in 17:55.

The over 45 veteran also posted the top age-graded performance there in finishing ahead of South London Harrier David Baker (18:35) and Sutton & District teenager Alex Penfold (18:58).

His Sutton & District clubmate Emer Kerr was first woman in 22:02.

* Clapham Chasers' Neil Aitken returned to the Richmond Park event after a gap of almost a year to beat more than 100 runners to win in 17:43, somewhat slower than his 17:18 winning time when he last competed there in December 2008.

Stragglers' James Flood was second in 18:38 with unattached runner Tom Hutchings third in 18:38.

Over 40 veteran Anna Critchlow from West Four Harriers was first woman in 18:45 ansd also posted the top age-graded effort there.

* Clapham Chasers' international Justina Heslop finished second overall out of more than 450 finishers at Bushy Park where she also posted the top age-graded effort.

She clocked a personal best of 16:51, clipping six seconds off her previous best time in finishing behind Brighton & Hove City's Matt Bristow (16:38).

It was only Bristow's second appearance in the event, his first being more than three years ago in August 2006. Heslop's last appearance at Bushy Park was in April.
