Ranelagh Harriers officials face another busy day on Saturday.
After hosting their Ellis Trophy and Bysart Cup races last weekend, they stage the third of this season's Surrey Ladies and Sweatshop Surrey Men's cross country league races in Richmond Park.
First off tomorrow will be the senior women over 8.1km at 12noon. Belgrave narrowly won the last match at Dorking and are second overall behind South London Harriers with Ranelagh and Thames Hare & Hounds third and fourth. Epsom & Ewell head Division Two from 26.2 Road Runners Club and Striders of Croydon.
Next off are the U15 and U17 race over 4,57km at 1pm with the U13 girls race over 3.28km starting at 1.30pm.
Because of the shorter days, the men's races will start earlier than usual with the young athletes due off at 2pm followed by the seniors at 2.30pm.
Thames Hare & Hounds took the lead in the last match at Coulsdon and are taking their determination to oust Herne Hill so seriously that they organised a training run over the Richmond Park course last Saturday.
Belgrave are third in the table but there is a tight battle at the other end with just 151 points covering the bottom four clubs with Hercules Wimbledon sixth, Epsom & Ewell seventh and Ranelagh in ninth spot.
The men's Division Two match involving Kingston & Polytechnic, Walton, Wimbledon Windmilers and Stragglers is being staged in Lloyd Park, Croydon, following the Divisions Three and Four match.
The senior Division Three and Four race starts at 1pm, the young athletes race for all three divisions at 1pm and the Division Two senior race at 2.30pm.
Standings after two matches in Division Two are: 1 Striders of Croydon 581; 2 Dorking & Mole Valley 664; 3 Stragglers 843; 4 Ful-on-Tri 83; 5 Kingston & Polytechnic 928; 6 Dulwich Runners 947; 7 Wimbledon Windmilers 1060; 8 Walton 1097; 9 West 4 Harriers 1217.
* Thames Hare & Hounds stage their annual Alumni five miles cross country race from their Richardson Evans Memorial playing fields, Wimbledon Common, starting at 2.30pm tomorrow.
