It took Steven Barber 60 attempts to win his first parkrun – and now he has won two in a row.
The Sutton Runners member, a winner on Richmond Park seven days earlier, crossed the line first at Banstead Woods last Saturday in 18 minutes 37 seconds.
Also in action were Tony Moorhouse in 13th (21:24) and Kaye Benjamin 83rd (29:15).
Three club members also took part in last Saturday’s Roundshaw event, with Graham Miller fifth (21:05), Lauren Jones 10th and first woman (22:46) and Jenny Sinfield a place behind (22:57).
In Sunday’s Perch Epsom 6.35-mile race, Sutton Runners’ Mark Wingham finished 90th (44:29).
