Paul Marriott, chief executive of national youth homelessness charity Depaul UK, is taking on the challenge of completing 21 runs in 21 counties throughout 2010 to celebrate the 21st birthday of Depaul UK.
The 51-year-old (right) starting his challenge by running last Sunday’s Epsom Oddballs Race and, along with friend at Depaul trustee Michael Whelan, 35, completed the race in one hour, four minutes 31 seconds.
Their next run is in Ashford and they are heading as far afield as the Isle of Man.
Marriott said: “I hope that by completing this challenge I can raise some money for DePaul UK and make more people aware of the work that is done to tackle the problem of youth homelessness in the UK. “I also hope it will be a bit of fun and a good way to raise awareness of our 21st birthday.”
