Richmond Indoor Bowling Club’s Jim Burns and Phil Gregory have reached the semi-finals of the Surrey County IBA Pairs.
Jim Burns and Phil Gregory ran out 21-15 winners over Richard Wooster and John Guinnard, of King George Field, although the match went down to the last shot.
It capped a good weekend for Rixchmond, who also claimed all 18 league points on offer from a 60-51 victory over Old Coulsdon in the Inter County League.
The quartet of Derek Evans, David Charleston, Brian Lawton and Ray Johnson won their rink 25-19, while the others were won 19-18 and 16-15.
Richmond won three out of four rinks to beat Harrodian BC 85-63 in a mixed four-rink match on Sunday. Francis Cann, Maria Donovan, Jim Nuthall and Mike Hickman won their rink 27-10.
