Tim Goodship and Paul Rowley each won two singles clashes to help Vale A to a 6-4 victory over St Paul’s A in Division Two of the Wandsworth & District Table Tennis League last week.
Division Four saw XXIV Club B comfortably beat Cenward 8-2, with Tony Lee of XXIV Club winning all three of his singles against Les Brewer, Ray Wadley and Robin Smith.
Rob Endean and John Smith also contibuted well with two singles victories each, with Endean beating Ray Wadley 8-11,11-5,11-6,14-12.
In a Division Six derby, St Paul’s E beat their D team 6-4.
Robert Barr and Robin Reeves of the E team narrowly beat Peter Jackson and Des Ryle 13-11, 11-6, 5-11, 10-12, 11-6 in the final game, the doubles.
Mike Quinsey of the D team chipped in with a singles win over Roland Devitt 13-11, 11-7, 6-11, 11-9.
