Established bowling centre AMF Purley on Brighton Road, Purley, has announced that it will be closing its doors to the public on Sunday, February 28, after 12 years of trading.
However, AMF Purley will not be slinking away quietly, but instead, offering its customers one last party, with a grand finale event running from 7pm on Friday, February 26.
The event is open to everyone in the area with many offers available including a the centre's Smirnoff deal which includes two games of bowling, a platter to share and a bottle of Smirnoff Ice or alternative for £12.95 per person.
There will also be a variety of games and quizzes with spot prizes.
The centre, which has previously been an ice rink, night club and Bowlplex bowling centre, was bought by AMF bowling in June 1998 and quickly became a popular centre for patrons from nearby areas of London.
With 24 lanes, the centre established itself as a strong league and tournament venue and was known for its traditional values and friendly team.
Emma Manning, Centre Manager at AMF Purley said, "It is with regret that we are coming to an end of business here.
"Over the years, we have become a respected site within the league community and a popular venue with local families.
"We would like to thank our patrons for their custom and our staff for their efforts over the last 12 years."
