Kingston Grammar School’s U14 Girls are on their way to the National Outdoor Hockey Finals as they seek to add this year's crown to the U13 title they won last year.
In the regional finals at Wellington College, they bounced back from a 4-2 defeat to St Geroge’s College in their opening match to beat Portsmouth Grammar 2-1 and Sir William Borlase 6-3 and finish as runners-up.
Coach Natalie Bell said: “The girls showed real character and I was impressed by the way they picked themselves up after losing to St George’s.
“Now we are looking forward to the nationals and there is no reason why these girls can’t make it two national titles in a row.”
