Old Wimbledonians CC have kicked off their net sessions for the new season and are recruiting players for all levels.
The club have five Saturday teams, with the first XI playing in Division Three of the Surrey Championship, and three Sunday social teams.
Many league players often play for the friendly teams when they can, as OWs pride themselves on providing and open, inclusive and friendly envirnment.
There is a very active social calender, with a quiz night planned for March 19 and a casino night for April 24.
The club also run their own interclub fantasy cricket competition, with the website planned to be launched in mid-April.
OWs' membership boasts an international flavour, with players hailing from England, Australia, New Zeland, South Africa, the West Indies, India and Sri Lanka, while they even hada Frenchman playing last season.
Nearly 200 people played for the club in 2009 but, the membership base is very transient, OWs are always on the outlook for new players.
Indoor nets are at Wimbledon College, Edge Hill, Wimbledon, SW19 4NS, on starting from next Tuesday until April 20 (6-9pm), and cost £5.
