Harlequins RL's injury nightmare shows no signs of letting up with the news Ryan Esders faces up to six weeks on the sidelines with a broken hand.
Esders went off during the 28-4 defeat to Hull on Friday night nursing a hand injury, and the break was revealed by scans on Monday evening.
Esders said: "At the moment I can't actually use my hand and it was a case of whether it was the hand or the wrist that had been damaged.
"I hurt it in a tackle and came off straight away but then I went back on in the second half and that has probably made it worse.
"I had the hand scanned and it has not turned out for the best."
Esders' efforts were symptomatic of a Quins side that expended a lot of energy with precious little end product.
And things will get no easier with a trip to Leeds Rhinos on Friday night.
Esders added: "It is really hard for us at the moment, especially with so many players out injured.
"Leeds is going to be another tough one, and they will be fired up after losing to Melbourne.
"But hopefully that game will have taken a lot out of them and we can go up there and give them a surprise."
