The Cricket for Change charity is appealing for hard-ball cricket equipment for an Afghan cricket academy held each Thursday.
The academy, based at the Cricket for Change Indoor Centre in Plough Lane, Wallington, is part of the Refugee Cricket Project, run by the Refugee Council in partnership Cricket for Change, and has helped to get 15 players into mainstream cricket clubs.
The group trains from 5.30-8.30pm before cooking Afghan food and sharing a meal.
The youngsters help cook and do English lessons to help with their language problems.
The charity is looking for good quality bats and other equipment to support this project.
