Howard of Effingham schoolgirl Emelia Gorecka retained her women’s U17 title at the English Championships on Saturday.
It completed a hat-trick of national victories and added to her Surrey schools and South of England wins at Reigate and Parliament Hill Fields in January.
Little Bookham-based Gorecka, who turned 16 in January, dominated the 5km race to win by more than 100m in 17 minutes, 52 seconds.
That was half-a-minute ahead of training partner Ruth Haynes to lead her Aldershot club to team victory.
“I really enjoyed it – it’s an awesome course,” said Gorecka.
“I felt great so kept pushing. I am really lucky to be surrounded by such a great training group.”
Her next race will be in the junior women’s event at the UK Inter-Counties championships at Birmingham on March 13, which incorporates the UK trials for the World Championships.
“I haven’t had much experience against the U20s,” she added.
“I don’t want to get my hopes up too high about making the junior GB team."
Herne Hill took 10th team place led by Hannah Edwards in 39th (20:35) and Amelie Foulkes 104th (22:25).
Surrey champion Liam White, of Hercules Wimbledon, finished ninth the men’s U17 6km race (20:31).
Clubmate Cassian Hyde was top Surrey finisher in the boys’ U13 3km race in 23rd (12:10), with Herne Hill Harriers’ Merhawi Tesfaldet Yemane 35th (12:19).
