In Division One of Wandsworth & District table tennis league, South Mitcham A snatched a 5-5 draw York Gardens B with a win in the final doubles.
South Mitcham’s Steve Holloway was in imperious form, winning all three singles, against Gary Woodward, Leo Veinsreider and William Ampomah. Simon Fisher also chipped in, beating William Ampomah 7-11,13-11,15-13,11-9.
Division Three saw a 5-5 draw between Wilton B and XXIV Club A.
Colin Morrow and Phil Marlow each won two singles matches, and Said Patel one for XXIV Club, beating Richard Cumbley of Wilton 10-12,13-15,11-6,11-7,17-15.
The derby between XXIV Club D and XXIV Club C ended with honours even in a 5-5 draw.
Peter Che and Roger Leggett won two singles each, while Alan Giles chipped in with a singles win for the ' team over Tom O'Malley, 11-9,11-7,11-9.
The C team won the doubles to secure the draw.
