Chipstead Golf Club’s Josh White represents England at the week’s Mexican Amateur Golf Championship and International Pairs tournament.
The event, from March 18-21, will see games played over 72 holes of individual strokeplay and 18-year-old White will be partnered at Club Campestre Monterrey by Matthew Southgate, 21, of Thorpe Hall Golf Club in Essex.
White made his England debut for the victorious boys’ Home Internationals team last year.
Meanwhile, Tim Anthonisz, who has appeared on BBC TV’s Antiques Roadshow, will be at Chipstead Golf Club on Sunday, March 28 (3pm) to give a talk about antiques. He will also value items on a one item per person basis, but anyone interested in taking part must book a place.
Admission is £5, including tea, scones, cream and jam, of which £1 will be donated to Barnado’s, this year’s captain’s charity.
