Six Herne Hill Harriers helped Surrey to secure team medals at Saturday’s Inter-County Cross Country Championships in Birmingham.
Merhawi Tesfaldet Yemane and Lascelles Hussey formed half of the U13 boys team who comfortably claimed team gold medals.
In the women’s U17 race, Katie Snowdon was 15th and Hannah Edwards 45th out of 265 finishers.
Julia Wedmore was 37th in the women’s U20 race, helping Surrey to take gold, while Karen Ellison was 72nd in the senior women’s race, helping Surrey to fifth team place.
At the British and Irish Masters in Stormont, Northern Ireland, Roger Alsop was second in the men’s 45-age category, with Francis Marsh taking bronze in the M40 race. Brian Shave took gold in the M75 category.
