Barnes Hockey Club's Women ran out 2-0 winners in Saturday’s home game with Exeter to boost their bid for a semi-final place in the play-offs for promotion the the National League, writes Mike Thomas.
Hannah Adcock and Trina Doyle netted for Barnes against a fourth-placed side who created just one scoring chance.
But the Lonsdale Road side still trail Cannock on goal difference with two games left, the Midlanders having beaten Buckingham 3-2.
