Striders of Croydon took second place at Saturday’s East Surrey League road relay at Box Hill.
Barry White, Lee Flanagan, John Foster and captain Matt Morgan gave Striders their best placing in the event since winning in 2005.
Meanwhile, Bill Makuwa finished seventh in the Silverstone Half Marathon in our hours, seven minutes, 13 seconds, placing him equal ninth in the club’s all-time rankings.
John Foster was over-50 winner and 19th overall out of 147 finishers in the Sri Chinmoy 10-mile road race in Battersea Park.
Striders times and positions: 19 John Foster 1:03.52, 20 Simon Ambrosi 1:04.20, 92 David Denton 1:23.53.
Tyler O’Callaghan finished sixth in the Wimbledon 10km road race (36.16).
Simon Ambrosi finished third in the Roundshaw Downs 5km parkrun on Saturday morning.

In the Bromley parkrun, Alice Ewen finished 19th (21.57).
