There was a Twickenham one-two-three in Saturday’s senior 12km trials for this month’s World Champion-ships in Poland, held in Birmingham on Saturday.
Mo Farah swept to victory in 34 minutes, 41 seconds, finishing 16 seconds clear of defending champion Andy Vernon.
Farah said: “I felt great. I went out to test myself and I am pleased with that.”
Vernon the consolation of lifting the UK Inter-Counties title, for which Farah was ineligible.
Mimoun Geele was third (35:40), 14 seconds ahead of Hampton’s Mike Skinner.
Farah, Vernon and Skinner have been named in the team for Poland.
Paskar Owor, who was 38th in 37:26, led Surrey to fifth team place.

St Mary’s Steph Twell failed by nine seconds to retain her senior women’s 8,000m title.
She was pipped by Scotland East’s Freya Murray, who clocked 27:21.
Twell said: “I knew I would be racing against top opposition, but we worked well together as a group.”
Former St Mary’s student Faye Fullerton joined Twell in clinching her place in Poland by finishing third (27:41).
St Mary’s Jessica Sparke was eighth (28:10), while Clapham Chasers’ Justina Heslop led Surrey to fifth team place by finishing 16th (28:42).
