There was a record turnout of more than 200 runners in Saturday’s Wimbledon Common parkrun, which was boosted by more than 40 runners taking part in the Merton mini-marathon.
Bryn Reynolds from Herts Phoenix won the event in 17:05 with Hercules Wimbledon’s Ed Saywell winning the mini-marathon trial in finishing 10th in 18:31.
Michaela Knespl was first in the girls race in 22:10.
St Mary’s Richmond’s Ross Franks beat almost 600 runners to win the Bushy Park parkrun in 15:57.
Hercules Wimbledon’s Adam Vandenberg sliced eight seconds off his previous best time in winning the Richmond Park parkrun from Serpentine’s Eoin O’Connell (17:34).
