Kingston & Polytechnic’s Pat Logan won two gold medals in last weekend’s British Masters Indoor Championships at Lee Valley Athletics Centre.
One of the oldest runners in the category – he will be 50 in July – Logan clocked his fastest times of the year in winning the over-45 60m (7.42 seconds) and 200m (24.23).
Camilla Thrush won the over-40 shot (10.35m), hammer (37.11m) and heavy weight (11.69m).
Clubmate Joan Trimble was a double winner in the over-55 60m (8.83) and 200m (30.16).
Herne Hill’s Kwei Sankofa won the over-50 200m (24.78) and 400m (55.12). He was also runner-up in the 60m (7.65).
Mike Mann won the over-60 800m (2:26.43), with clubmate Steve Knight third.
Hercules Wimbledon’s Anna Garnier won the women’s over 55 800m (2:38.81) and was second in the 1500m.
Clubmate Pete Giles won the over-65 3,000m (10:49.04), with Herne Hill’s Brian Shave the over-75 winner (15:15.06).
Belgrave’s Mark Wiseman won the over-40 shot (14.25m), discus (47.37m), hammer (47.59m) and heavy weight (15m).
Clubmate Vilma Thompson took the over-55 shot (10.63m), discus (22.02m), hammer (31.87m), javelin (25.33m) and heavy weight (9.73m).
Epsom & Ewell Harriers enjoyed great success.
Julia Machin won the over-40 high jump (1.78m) and long jump (5.56m).
Epsom’s Angela Bate won the women’s over-40 60m (8.36) and took silver in the 400m.
Charmaine Johnson won the over- 45 shot (10.30m), took second in the high jump and third in the 60m hurdles.
Wendy Dunsford took the over-50 hammer (29.78m) heavy weight (9.73m) and was second in the shot and discus.
David Blunt won the over-55 triple jump (9.98m), was second in the high jump and third in the long jump Brian Harlick won the over-65 discus (36.19m) to go with second in the pole vault and third in the javelin.
Liz Sissons won the over-65 shot (9.22m), discus (20.91m), hammer (27.39m), javelin (22.81m) and heavy weight (11.86m). In the same age group, Terry Bissett won the 200m (27.23) and 400m (61.99).
