Ashford Bowling Club endured mixed fortunes last week in all competitions.
FORDBRIDGE MIXED LEAGUE
ASHFORD 2pts v ISLEWORTH 8pts
Ashford won one triple to Isleworths' three triples in this match. Ashford took an early lead but then Isleworth gradually caught up.
Ashford gave in too easily and allowed Isleworth to extend their lead on all the rinks.Isleworth looked as though they were going to win all the points to boost their chances of winning the league.
However one of the Ashford triples stole a victory on the last two ends which won't help Isleworths' cause.
Ashfords winning triple were S.Grant, S.Woodhead, C.Staples with a 18 - 17 score.
Tue 7th Sep LADIES MATCH
ASHFORD 23 v WINDSOR GREAT PARK 67
Windsor Great Park gained their revenge for the early season defeat at the hands of Ashford. It was a similar result to the game at Windsor with the visitors winning all three triples played. Windsor Great Park led from start to finish and gave nothing away to their opponents.
Wed 8th Sep FORDBRIDGE MIXED LEAGUE
ASHFORD 2pts v BISHOP DUPPAS 8pts
Ashford should have done better in this match. They took an early lead which they let slip away by the half way stage.
Ashford then improved their play and at fifteen ends played had got themselves a four shot lead and were winning two rinks and losing on two rinks and should have held on for a victory.
However as it turned out Bishop Duppas were allowed to steal the overall victory by one shot and win three triples. Ashfords winning triple were P.Collins, L.Dutton, D.Ayton who won 27 - 14.
Thu 9th Sep MENS MIDWEEK MATCH
BYFLEET 38 v ASHFORD 53

Ashford outplayed their opponents and won all of the six triples played. Bracknell were soon behind and as hard as they tried were unable to make any impression on the score.
