Surrey's trail-blazing girls as they ended a 10-year wait by winning the Junior County Golf Week in real style.
Surrey fielded their youngest ever team for the annual contest with Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and Middlesex, but they soon came of age.
On a tough but immaculate West Surrey course, they were captained by 17-year-old Charlotte Griffiths, of Walton Heath, playing off four handicap.
She was supported by two more 17-year-olds, Cuddington's Surrey Junior champion Daisy May Kenny, playing off three, and six handicapper Jade Lucas, from Farnham.
They were joined by 14-year-old six handicapper Shannon Flynn, from Burhill and three 13-year-olds, five handicapper Inci Mehmet, of Wentworth; Lizzie Prior, of Foxhills, playing off nine; and four handicapper Sana Tufail, of Woking.
The youngest squad member was 11-year-old Samantha Fuller, of Roehampton, playing off six.
Kenny led the team out in the opening match against Sussex and showed the way with a thumping 6and4 victory, inspiring the team to a 5.5-1.5 win.
The battle against Kent was much tougher and was only decided 4-3, when Prior struck a superb three wood approach to three foot at the last for a winning birdie.
Mehmet repeated the feat at the last in the 4.5-1.5 win over Hampshire.
The trophy was sealed when Middlesex were crushed 7-0 with a 7and 6 stroll for Tufail leading the way.
