Tadworth AC’s veteran cross country runner Geoff Newton took first prize in the men’s over-60 class at last weekend’s Eridge Park 10-mile trail challenge, a hilly and boggy off-road race near Tunbridge Wells.
Newton was 56th out of 535 runners overall in one hours, 20 minutes, 57 seconds.
Meanwhile, Roland Hogg was 112th out of 268 runners in the Harry Hawkes eight-mile riverside race from Thames Ditton. He clocked 1:05.06.
