Saturday 2nd October, 2010 marks the final day of the racing season at Epsom Downs Racecourse and in support of the Armed Forces, Epsom are offering 500 free tickets for the day’s racing to the charity, Tickets for Troops.
Tickets For Troops is an independent charity that was set up last year to provide top tickets to musical, cultural and sporting events. It has been given over 200,000 tickets by organisations wanting to show their support of the Armed Forces.
Raleigh Addington, Operations Director commented: "Tickets For Troops are extremely grateful to Epsom Downs Racecourse for supporting our marvellous Armed Forces in this way. It is a huge boost to the morale of the troops to have their commitment and dedication recognised in this way and we are thrilled to have the support from so many organisations."
Epsom Downs Racecourse is delighted to have the opportunity to support such a worthwhile cause and on a day which not only signals an end to the season, but also the final day of the Tompkins & May Partnership Derby Series, featuring the Tompkins & May Partnership Amateur Jockeys Derby.
Five hundred tickets have been donated to the charity, free of charge and any additional tickets will be available to Tickets for Troops at a reduced price of £5 from £20 (75% discount). Additionally, all tickets will include a buy one get one free voucher on a pint of beer at the racecourse. The offer applies to all servicemen in the Army, Navy or RAF.
