Tadworth’s Dave Williamson gave his best performance at the Great North Run by finishing 103rd in Sunday.
Despite having to contend with rainy conditions and the crush of 54,000 runners crossing the Tyne Bridge, Williamson completed the 13.1 mile course in a time of one hour, 19 minutes, 17 seconds, six minutes better than last year.
He finished 11th in the men's over-40 class.
