Anne Hotton and Victor Payne teamed up to win the Guardian Trophy at Downs Lawn Tennis Club’s open tournament last Sunday.
Hotton plays for Epsom while Payne is a member of Cheam Fields.
The host club’s Margaret Turner and Gerry Middlesmass took the Guardian Plate.
The event attracted entries from 10 other Surrey clubs from Claygate to Purley.
A round robin event before lunch divides the pairs into upper and lower pools for two knock-out events in the afternoon.
Bright skies saw some high standard tennis before trophies were presented by DLTC chairman Roy Gravett.
The club, in 50 Holland Avenue, Cheam, is open to new members. Call 020 8642 3019.
