MERRY MOORE: Thames’ Hare & Hounds’ David Moore clocked 37 minutes, 20 seconds, to win the Ashtead 10km race on Sunday. Belgrave’s Mike Webb (37.33) and Hercules Wimbledon’s John Querstret (38:52) were second and third of more than 260 finishers.
FEELING SHARP: Hercules Wimbledon’s Matt Sharp finished third out of 238 runners in the Brooks Hove Prom 10km road race on the South Coast on Sunday (35:31).
TEN OF THE BEST: Epsom-based Kolo Kyereme beat more than 200 runners to win the South London 10km race on Wimbledon Common (31:13). Orlando Edwards from Shaftesbury Barnet was second (33:03). Hercules Wimbledon’s Grenville Tuck was first over-50 veteran. (39:58).
ONE-TWO: Serpentine’s Fernando Del Valle won the Self Transcendence 10-mile road race in Battersea Park in 56:24, 22 seconds clear of clubmate Darren McNeeley. Serpentine’s Victoria Carter was first woman (1:08:15).
CHAMPIONS: Kingston & Polytechnic girls team won a closely-contested Lily B cup final at Ewell Court on Saturday. It was the team’s first success in the event for a decade. Meanwhile, the U13 800m club record which had stood for the last 22 years was broken by two Kingston athletes. Elle Butcher won the race in two minutes, 27.6 seconds, while Nadia Allan clocked 2:30.3.
