Belgrave Harriers provided two winners to the weekly parkrun events on Saturday.
Will Cockerell beat another large field in Bushy Park and Richard Ward securing another victory in Banstead Woods.
Cockerell’s winning time of 16 minutes seven seconds was just three seconds outside his course best as he beat 650 other runners to claim a ninth victory in 27 appearances at Bushy Park.
Clapham Chasers’ James Ellis (16:18) was runner-up.
Ward made it 25 wins in 30 appearances at Banstead Woods, dating back to July 2007, clocking 15:59, just four seconds outside his course best set in January 2008.
Stragglers’ Simon Ford (17:27) and Tadworth veteran David Freeman (17:33) were second and third with South London Harriers’ Natalie Harvey first woman in fourth (17:41).
Elmbridge Road Runners’ Matthew Alexander won the Kingston parkrun on his event debut, clocking 17:37 to hold off the challenge of another first timer, Paul Bowden of Stragglers (17:40).
Serpentine’s Emma Calderbank was first woman in a personal best of 20:06, a 20-second improvement on her time last month.
Another to win on his first appearance was Ranelagh’s Trevor Maguire, who headed the field home in Old Deer Park in 18:18.
He beat clubmates Duncan Mallison (18:35) and Mark Herbert (18:59) who were also competing in the event for the first time.
Thames Hare & Hounds’ Andy Robinson headed 170 runners home on Wimbledon Common in 16:57 beating Hercules Wimbledon’s Darren Meredith (17:15).
