She lost 5-7 6-4 6-3 to top seed Sacha Jones, the world number 184, in the $25k event.
The British number eight had beaten Daniella Dominikovic 6-3 5-7 6-1 in the quarter-finals.
Laura Robson made it into the main draw of the WTA Toray Pan Pacific Open ladies’ singles this week before bowing out in the first round proper.

Southfields’ Jamie Delgado, and Jonathan Marray reached the men’s doubles final of the Turk Telekom Izmir Cup but lost 6-2 6-4 to Rameez Junaid and Frank Moser.
The second-ranked pair had beaten Treat Conrad Huey and Dominic Inglot 6-3 6-7 10-3 earlier in the week.
Leatherhead’s Chris Eaton and Surbiton’s Joshua Goodall fell in the semi-finals of the ATP Challenger Tour in Bangkok, Thailand, losing 6-3 7-5 to the top seeds.
Rhett Purcell, 14, who is originally from Sutton but now lives in New Zealand, reached the semi-finals of the boys’ doubles at the grade five ITF Waikato U18 Championships in New Zealand.
Making his debut at this level Purcell and Alexander Klintcharov lost 6-2, 6-4 to Artem Vassiliev and Jamie Yates.
