The Epsom College girls’ 1st XI hockey team made it three wins out of three this season with an impressive 10-0 victory over Brighton College on Saturday.

With a slightly changed formation, the girls were in irresistible form, moving the ball well and making the most of the chances that came their way. Caitlin Keep found the net four times, with Natasha Nichols and Rebecca Wood scoring two goals each and Natalie Sciver and Emma Albon bagging one apiece.

After winning the Christ's Hospital Pre-Season Tournament for the third year in succession, the 1st XI have now scored 31 goals in the first three games of the regular season and conceded none.

Overall, it was a successful day for College hockey teams in the annual block fixture against Brighton College. The 2nd XI won 2-0, with Zoe Sciver directing operations from midfield, while the U16 A and B XIs won 6-0 and 3-0 respectively.

Outstanding play by Charlotte Dialdas and Becki Weller saw the U15 A XI to a 1-0 victory, while the U15 B XI won 3-1, with goals from Holly Ellis, Felicity Green and Imogen Bole, and the U15 C XI eased to a 2-0 victory courtesy of goals by Louise Reid and Jennifer Dawkins.

Gaby Orlich put in a player of the match performance as the U14 A XI edged an exciting game 3-2, while the U14 Bs coasted to a 4-0 win with goals from Sophia Mavrogalou, Molly Frazer and Tamika Hewitt (2). The U14 C XI were unlucky to lose 0-2 after dominating the first half.

Elsewhere, the 3rd XI battled to a 1-0 victory over KCS Wimbledon thanks to a goal by Alex Mungavin, while the 4th XI lost 0-2 against the Sutton Valence 3rd XI and the U14D XI slipped to a 0-9 loss against a strong Sutton Valence U14 B team.
