Lucky South London youngsters were treated to some slam-dunking skills from Minnesota Timberwolves during the NBA Cares basketball clinic at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.
Michael Beasley, Wesley Johnson, Corey Brewer and Luke Ridnour were just some of the star names from the Minneapolis-based side on hand on Saturday to give 60 enthusiastic boys and girls some valuable basketball lessons while emphasizing the importance of living an active, healthy lifestyle.
Overall it was a successful London adventure for Love and his Timberwolves as they went on to complete an emphatic 111-92 victory over reigning NBA Champions Los Angeles in a NBA Europe LIVE exhibition game at The O2, North Greenwich, on Monday evening. Forward Martell Webster topscored with 24 points while Marcus Beasley notched in 21 points.
