Herne Hill Harriers won the Bruce Judd Memorial Plaque as the club with the highest number of points from the six relay events at the Surrey Junior Cross Country Relays in Stoke Park, Guildford, on Saturday.

They took gold medals in the boys’ U15 leg thanks to fine runs from Amin Jison (7:38), Merhawi Yemane (7:17) and Robert Hanson (7:53).

Alex Chater (7:56) was the fastest for Epsom & Ewell Harriers, who finished 10th, with Matthew Stevens (8:38) best for 12th-placed Kingston & Polytechnic.

Boys’ U15 teams: 1 Herne Hill 22:48; 2 Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow 23:07; 3 South London Harriers 23:11; 4 Dorking & Mole Valley 23:50; 10 Epsom & Ewell 25:58; 12 Kingston & Polytechnic 27:04.

Herne Hill’s U13 girls earned silver thanks to Saskia Millard (9:18), Victoria Picken with the second best time of the day (8:37) and Natalia Woolnay (9:15).

Elle Bitcher (9:15) was the fastest for fifth-placed Kingston & Polytechnic.

Girls’ U13 teams: 1 Aldershot, Farnham & District 25:45; 2 Herne Hill 27:10; 3 Dorking & Mole Valley 27:31; 5 Kingston & Polytechnic 28:16.

Herne Hill also took silver in the men’s U17 event with Lewis Lloyd’s anchor leg of 7:03, the second best time of the day, lifting them a place. James Allen (7:32) and Jordan Maurice (7:32) ran the opening two legs.

First-leg runner Alex Penfold (7:34) was fastest for Sutton & District in eighth, with Joe Clark (7:47) best for ninth-placed Hercules Wimbledon.

Men’s U17 teams: 1 Aldershot, Farnham & District 21:57; 2 Herne Hill 22:07; 3 Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow 22:21; 8 Sutton & District 23:42; 9 Hercules Wimbledon 23:43.

Despite Katie Snowden (8:00) clocking the fastest women’s U17 time, Herne Hill had to settle for fourth in the women’s U17 relay, with anchor-leg runner Mica Wood (9:33) fastest for sixth-placed Sutton & District.

Women’s U17 teams: 1 Guildford & Godalming 25:15; 2 South London Harriers 26:01; 3 Guildford & Godalming B 26:33; 4 Herne Hill 27:15; 6 Sutton & District 29:10.

Josh Bartholomew (8:35) was the fastest for Sutton & District boys U13 team who were fourth, with Paul Burgess (8:26) quickest for fifth-placed Herne Hill.

Boys’ U13 teams: 1 Camberley & District 24:45; 2 Reigate Priory 25:00; 3 Dorking & Mole Valley 25:03; 4 Sutton & District 26:35; 5 Herne Hill 26:52.

Layla Thompson (8:51) was fastest for fourth placed Kingston & Polytechnic in the girls’ U15 event with Georgie Kay (8:47) leading the way for fifth-placed Herne Hill and Lucy Drummond (8:38) for ninth-placed Epsom & Ewell.
