Surrey wicketkeeper Steven Davies has been named in the MCC team to face the champion county Nottinghamshire at the Zayed International Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi from March 27-30.
It will be the 24-year-old’s first senior appearance since he became the first international cricketer to announce he was gay.
He is joined in the starting XI by Middlesex's Dawid Malan, 23, who was born in Roehampton and previously played club cricket for Teddington.
In addition to the Champion County match, MCC will also play against Nottinghamshire, Durham, Sussex and a select Fly Emirates side, in the Emirates Airline Twenty20 Trophy on the April 1 at 7he Sevens cricket ground in Dubai.
